I'm not sure what I was expecting when I got the glasses. I've seen the many emotional videos, but wanted to avoid that situation or expectation. For me I've always felt I can see colour, but not to the extent of others. When I struggle is when the colours are mixed. Being a birder this is incredibly difficult as you have the two worst colours for this being the green from the leaves and often the reds in the birds. I've found this incredibly difficult standing next to other birders who seem to be able to see the contrasting colours much easier. Much to my pleasure today I tried them for the first time in the field. I'd previously experienced the vibrancy of reds on cars and phone boxes, but really wanted to test it in the wild with some rare birds. Well today they were standing out much brighter than ever before. When toggling between wearing them and taking photos without them the difference was significant. I won't try and emulate the tears of others, but will certainly attest to the fact they're enabling my hobby in ways I couldn't have thought possible and that is making me very appreciative.
For the first time ever, I am able to see outside colors that were always there. Thank you, Enchroma!
I first purchased a pair of Enchoma glasses in 2016. I still have those glasses, but I decided to buy another pair to try the new styles available.
The newer CX3 lense gives a much sharper color experience than my older lenses. Red is now sharper than ever. Green had so much more dimension and contrast I can't believe it.
I let my non-color deficient co-workers try them. One of them had a much bigger reaction to the color pop than I ever did. He said it was like 20/20 color vision for someone with 20/20 vision. Another co-worker with normal color vision said that he would buy a pair just to experience his life in high definition color.
The Ventura frames are good balance of sporty and relaxed. They fit into any occasion.
I can spend all day wearing them. It's good to know that Enchoma is always improving and I can't wait to spend my summer soaking in all the colors.
This will be a present/gift for my 28 year old son.
It was 10th grade of high-school that he decided to take an arts class.
That's when I/we found out that he was severely color blind...
I'm lucky to have a little money at the moment, so I decided to get him a pair..
Very pricey.. but, hopefully they work like a the videos I have seen..
He will be gifted this Sunday, and recorded.
I hope this work!!!!!
