About the Artist

I was always someone who was jealous of people with artistic ability. Originally attracted to photography, my fiancee eventually convinced me to start painting. After getting a stack of paper, a couple of brushes, and some watercolors, I discovered a whole new side of me. Freed from the thought of "being good," I just created what my hand and my mind wanted to. The thought originally intimidated me. Now, several years later, painting has become one of my favorite ways to relax.

Artist's Statement

"I don't know anything about color theory, so I feel very uninhibited to try new color combinations. I well mix and juxtapose what feels right to me, without thought of what "should" work."
