My dad purchased these glasses for me. I actually had a pair of sunglasses before, but they were not prescription, and since they were sunglasses I could only enjoy them outside. I am actually so pleased with how crisp and clear these visually are. They are slightly tinted, but after your eyes adjust it actually looks normal. The color results vary by person, with that said, I get way less confused than I did before! They have helped me do my job better and even helped me enjoy outdoors more than my previous sunglasses! As someone with mild deutan color vision deficiency, I had moderate expectations when trying these glasses. Unfortunately, they provided no perceptible improvement in my ability to distinguish colors. Despite wearing them in various lighting conditions and for different tasks, the experience remained essentially unchanged from my natural vision. Given the marketing claims and the price point, I expected at least some enhancement in color differentiation. I am genuinely disappointed and cannot recommend them to others with similar vision profiles. This was, for me, an unhelpful and frustrating purchase.

The glasses do seem to help make those colors a bit more vivid.

But enchroma loses a couple stars for the prescription. It is the same prescription as my regular pair, but the lenses are just not very good.

The lenses are what you’d expect from a nearly $400 pair of color blind sunglasses, they’re incredible. I feel like I am truly able to see colors in a way that I just can’t without them. The frames, though, are wildly lackluster for the price. They’re an extremely flimsy plastic that I feel like I’m going to snap if I’m even slightly rough with them, and it’s pretty uncomfortable to wear too. If they were to update their frames to be of a better quality, they’d be more than with the price tag.

I bought these for my husband and I was nervous they were going to sit in his desk and never be worn. He wears them all the time! Although they are the indoor ones he says that life is way more vibrant with the glasses. We have a newborn baby and now he can see her clearly. Belle helped me with an exchange to get him the style I knew he’d like and she was so helpful! Customer service is incredible at Enchroma! 10 out of 10 recommend don’t hesitate they’ll enrich your life!
