They really work!!! My mom and I were super nervous that they wouldn't, plus they were really expensive because he needed progressive prescription lenses. I've been wanting to get my dad these glasses for a few years now, my mom and I finally got them for his birthday which is the day after thanksgiving. I made him take the enchroma color blind test a few months ago, and wouldn't tell him why. She secretly got his prescription from the optometrist while he wasn't looking. The glasses came a lot sooner than I expected, the look awesome! I'm so mad that my camera stopped recording right before my dad finally realized that he was seeing color and got super emotional. I have never seen him cry before, so I was not expecting that reaction at all! We spent all day pointing out colors to him, I showed him a trippy psychedelic music video, we took him to a local holiday light show, and watched a few of his favorite movies so that he could see them in color for the first time. It was like watching a kid at Disneyland for the first time lol. Definitely worth it!

As a half Spartan women, I have to say that...EnChroma derby lens type Cx3 sun SP is the most beautiful gift I could have done in my life! I can distinguish all shades of colors especially red and green! They are so stylish and suitable in me, I just love them.. And of course I recommend them to all of you that can't see the colours!! I bought EnChroma glasses for my husband as his 30th birthday present, and surprising him with them was both challenging and a little risky. First, I had him take the color-blind test “just for fun” so I could find out his exact type, which turned out to be Protan. Then I chose a frame similar to a pair he used to wear and carefully compared all the measurements with his favorite glasses. But the hardest part was getting his prescription—I managed to obtain it from a local store where we had bought his last pair a couple of years ago.

I also received amazing support from an EnChroma employee, who helped me double-check every detail and made sure the glasses would arrive in time for my husband’s birthday. To my relief, they actually arrived a week early, and I couldn’t wait—I gave him his present the very same day.

Inside the package were seven balloons in the colors of the rainbow, which I thought was such a brilliant touch. I asked him to look at the balloons without the glasses first, then to put them on. “Shocked” doesn’t even begin to describe his reaction. He could suddenly distinguish all the colors. He kept taking the glasses off and putting them back on while staring at the balloons, then began exploring every colorful object in our apartment. It was as if he was seeing the world for the first time. For the first time, he saw the color of my greenish-blue eyes.
