My family gifted me a pair of sunglasses on Father's Day to correct my Strong Protan color blindness - I knew since middle school that I have been missing out on quite a bit of the color spectrum, but I had no idea just how bright reds could be - and there is a lot of green that I haven't been able to see either. At 50 years old, I'm having so much fun really seeing colors for the first time. Sunsets have always been a favorite of mine, and I have photographed them for decades, but I had no idea just how beautiful they can be... WOW!
Thank you Enchroma for making all of this possible! This is the gift of a lifetime for me!
Love my new sunglasses
So, I tried the slide over goggles and though I enjoyed them, I didn't wear them often. Mostly do to comfort. I got my current prescription and decided to order the Colorado Cx3 sun glasses. Glad I did. Wearing the glasses, with the prescription built in, has made a wondrous world. You non colorblinded people take the beauty of the world for granted. ...or it's just the norm for you. Sun rises and sun sets are astonishing. The colors of everything 😍 wow. Things I would drive by everyday are all now new. Cars, buildings, trees, even grass. The red buttes in Wyoming...are red. Colorado blue spruce, Montana grasslands. It's a disappointment now to them off for night driving.
Thank you for the great glasses.
I was skeptical at first especially considering the expectation that was set that the viral videos are not what should be expected however for me it was instant. I'm able to distinguish and recognise colours of things I never could before. I just wish there was an indoor version for SP also :( I love the colour red now where before I didn’t really care much for it at all and seeing purple clearly now is a game changer.
This is my second pair of enchroma glasses and I think this pair works better than the originals I got 3 years ago. I am a strong Protan so I keep seeing new colors of red/purple and green just pops now.
