How does this warning relate to EnChroma glasses?

Like most eyewear frames, EnChroma frames may contain stainless steel hardware components such as wire, hinges and screws. Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium and nickel. Metallic nickel has been classified as a possible carcinogen and is on the Prop 65 warning list.

What testing does EnChroma perform on its frames?

EnChroma uses an independent third party laboratory to test its frames and lenses for compliance with international standards including EN 16128:2015. EnChroma frames are compliant with the requirement for upper limit of nickel migration as specified in paragraph 1(b) and (c) of entry 27 of Annex XVII to the REACH. REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. However, the REACH is not recognized by the State of California. Bought these glasses for my husband! He says they are much better than his old Enchroma glasses! He sees much better with these new ones! Not sure if the technology is better now or the old glasses weaken with time and heat. Anyway, he is thrilled with these new glasses and very thankful. They are also much more affordable then the first couple of glasses we bought years ago! Thankful for that too!

Progressive Satisfaction

I have had my Altavista Fitover Cx3 glasses for a little more than a week now and I am so glad to have them. I didn't have an immediate "Wow' factor, but over time I am progressively seeing things I have never seen before. Colors are distinct and vibrant and some things simply "jump out at me" as if I've never seen them at all before my glasses arrived. I would add that I chose the "Fitover" style to work with my several other prescription glasses and new prescriptions. I may choose a pair of prescription "enchroma" glasses in the future. I highly recommend these glasses and encourage the user to give your eyes time to adjust. You'll be amazed at what you see.

I will be 60 this fall, and I never truly realized just how beautiful colors are. I've never cried so hard in my life, as I saw the beauty of green grass for the 1st time!!
