I have order this frame called Hopkins Titanium Cx1 indoor for my father who has strong deutan colorblind.
After receiving the package here in Cambodia. I have asked my dad to try on the glasses for the very first time. Now he can see green and red color better and we have tested the color blind using their website and now he gas just mild deuteranopia instead which is great. The next day he said his color vision is even better then the first day. It's really worth the money . Now my dad can enjoy painting more with accurate color choice without using his memory of color mixing to mix the paint, he now use his vision to mix the paint instead. Never seen him this happy before. Thanks Enchroma.
I tried to go change my original review but was unable too, but I feel like I need to say this. Firstly my original review was a 4 out of 5, this is now a hard 5. I did not get the same "wow" feeling as you often see on YouTube, instead what I have noticed is that my brain is taking time to adjust to the new colors. I do not know if my experience is common but at first I did not notice a difference in colors I'd see on tv or a computer screen. I can tell you that these glasses work best if the room is absolutely dark and your only light source is the tv. I also find the glasses do a good job at preventing my eyes from straining from looking at the screen in a dark room. It was only after the end of my first week wearing them that I started to really notice the difference in colors. The smallest details are becoming more and more clear to me everyday.
But then today we went boating in the ocean. And I got to see the sunset for I guess the very first time in my life. I served in the navy so I was used to seeing sunsets, but not like this. This was my "wow" moment. I have no shame to say, it brought me to tears. I found the only words I could think of at the time were "I have been robbed of absolute beauty". It's that moment you realize you've missed out on something so majestic. This tonight, was well worth the price. And best part is, it's not a once in a lifetime thing, I get to go and see the sunset as many times as I want. Sunsets to me typically appear yellowish and a bit of orange, but the colors are very bland. Looking at the sunset with my glasses, I saw the full spectrum, I saw the orange and pinks and blues and purples and greens. It was like seeing heaven.
For those who get these and don't get a wow moment right away, please don't get discouraged, allow your brain some time to process the new colors. I promise you it is worth the wait.
I also want to say, for the best results visit a flower garden during clear day sky. I find flowers have the most profound effect with the glasses.
I am Duetan color blind. After ordering a trying the Enchroma glasses I took another couple color vision tests and passed as having normal color vision. In my opinion the glasses unequivocally work. Even though I don't "see" a huge different in red/green except where colors are brighter or more vibrant they really stick out. When I wear the glasses I am picking up more subtle lighter reds especially, that I wasn't before.
I bought the Hopkins Titanium Cx1 Indoor DT glasses. They are light weight won't break and stylish. I use them for gaming tv cloudy days and at work in a kitchen. They have improved my life and ability to see color. I highly recommend these glasses.
P.s. I also bought a pair of outdoor and recommend buying a pair of each. This will give you access to color all the time. I've found the outdoor glasses to be too dark for many indoor or screen situations, but when you have the full spectrum light available you'll really want those full color lenses!
I've used the outdoor version prior to getting the indoor version and I'm just as impressed. The titanium feels reliable enough it wont break and the lenses themselves do exactly what they should. Seeing the differences between greens and reds on TVs and monitors is fantastic. Thank you for coming up with these products
