EnChroma Altavista is our fitover wrap-around frame that delivers superior coverage and clear, vibrant color for those with mild, moderate and strong Deutan color blindness. Altavista fitover glasses are designed to be conveniently worn over prescription glasses. Wrap-around construction enables excellent coverage from stray light through the top and side of the frame. Ideal for those with sensitive eyes or medical concerns. To wear over prescription glasses, the total width of the prescription glasses should be 135 mm or less (5 3/8ths inches), and the height of the glasses 42 mm or less (1 5/8th inches). To reduce internal reflections between the lenses, glasses that have an anti-reflection coating are recommended.

How does this warning relate to EnChroma glasses?

Like most eyewear frames, EnChroma frames may contain stainless steel hardware components such as wire, hinges and screws. Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium and nickel. Metallic nickel has been classified as a possible carcinogen and is on the Prop 65 warning list.

What testing does EnChroma perform on its frames?

EnChroma uses an independent third party laboratory to test its frames and lenses for compliance with international standards including EN 16128:2015. EnChroma frames are compliant with the requirement for upper limit of nickel migration as specified in paragraph 1(b) and (c) of entry 27 of Annex XVII to the REACH. REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. However, the REACH is not recognized by the State of California. Need to have full sun.

Got your glasses, they seem to work. However, it's Winter, everything is gray and overcast. The stoplights are easier to see, which is nice.

RED

My wife bought me these and they arrived just before Christmas. We live in Canada just north across the lake from Buffalo New York and with the recent storms everything outside is pretty much black and WHITE. Since then we haven't had any sunny days until yesterday, so I thought I would go outside and try them while I was driving. My first impression was RED!!! I thought I could see red before - I had no trouble with red traffic lights but now they were RED. Cars I thought were red are now RED. Tail lights are RED. Stop signs are RED. Looking further - facades that I thought were gray are now green. Traffic cones that I thought were yellow are bright orange. There is not a lot of colourful stuff outside here these days (no flowers no leaves on the trees etc) and it is overcast again today. So I am looking forward to seeing purple, chartreus and mauve and for the first time after 78 years. I hear they are pretty. Also I noticed I can see the screen on my phone outside clearly as the lenses are non-polarizing. Colours were never the first thing I noticed about objects. I always told my wife colours are over rated but now I may have to change my opinion.

Later in life we found out our son was colorblind. We snuck him a test to determine which color blindness he was. Once we had such we ordered him glasses for Christmas. Ha has a whole new world!!!

You can't put a price on joy.

For many years I had wanted to buy these for my Dad. With his advanced age and declined eye site I did not think it would ever happen. After having cataract surgery I jumped at the opportunity! It's now or never I thought and gave my Dad these
( Altavista Fitover Cx3 Sun glasses ) as a gift for his 85th birthday! I will be 60 this fall, and I never truly realized just how beautiful colors are. I've never cried so hard in my life, as I saw the beauty of green grass for the 1st time!!
