My husband will be 75 next month. When I learned about EnChroma, our children and I ordered him the Receptor (fit over) glasses for a late Father’s Day gift. We all gathered at the park after church to watch him put them on and held our breath to see how he would respond. I had told him that morning about the glasses and what he might expect or not expect based on the reviews. I could tell that he didn’t believe they would make a difference and was prepared to bulls**t us so we wouldn’t be disappointed for him. He put them on, glanced around, and started the BS. Then he stopped talking, looked around again, took them off and looked, put them back on and looked. Then he stood up and started talking again—this time about all the things he could see that he had not seen before. The crepe myrtle blooms had just looked like “gray fuzz” on the end of the branches; the roses had only been distinguishable from the leaves because of their shape; our daughter-in-law’s hair had looked black instead of the red he could now see; he had not known that grass has brown spots in it. He had not known that the red in the flag was so bright. All the way home he talked about the billboards along the highway—how colorful they are; all the red cars and trucks he had never imagined on the road; how the color of the asphalt and the grass along the sides of the interstate were so different in color. The highway and the grass had looked essentially the same color before! He wears the EnChroma glasses every time he goes outside, and he says that seeing the colors make him feel calmer. I am so grateful to EnChroma and to the people who made this discovery and made it available to us. We never thought it could be possible. The Receptor (fit over) glasses fit perfectly and are lightweight and comfortable. They also look very classy. Thank you EnChroma.
